Introducing the sale of the highly cost effective Fiber Optic Temperature Laser Radar (FTR070).

We have developed and just started selling the highly cost effective Fiber Optic Temperature Laser Radar (FTR070) for use in a wide range of situations which require temperature control and abnormal temperature detection.

As this Radar uses fiber optic sensors it can measure temperature distribution along the optical fibers. Also:

1.It can measure temperatures over long distances and wide areas with just one optical fiber.
2.It is not affected by elecromagnetic interference.
3.It does not use electricity so is essentially very safe and explosion proof.

Because of its many strong points, since we started developing FTR in 1989, we have sold into, and achieved first class results worldwide in a wide area of business enterprises, such as: Underground Transmission Lines, Electric Power Stations, Iron Mills and LNG Plants etc.

Up to now we have had two kinds of FTR products: the FTR030 which measures distances up to 2 km and the FTR110 which measures distances up to 10 km. With both these types it was necessary to have a separate, exclusive PC to handle measured signals and control measurement and also a specialist who fully understood the technology had to be there to adjust the equipment at the site.
Wanting to modify the above we responded to our customers' requests for a product that cost less and was easier to use and developed the new FTR070.

Exclusive features of the FTR070 include: by improving the inner processing function it is only necessary to have a separate PC to show measurement results, adjustments can be made with interactive screen displayed directions, making it extremely easy to use.

Moreover, its performance is close to the previous FTR030 but the FTR070 is cheaper and is more cost effective. Unavailable in the earlier types, the FTR 070 can take high speed measurements (3 seconds) and has a quick response time, giving more time to respond to fires etc.

An outline of the main features of FTR070:

1.In one fiber optic cable temperature measurement is possible at 2,000 points (once every meter).
2.There are two kinds available:
a) Standard ( precision of ±1c, measurement time - 45 seconds)
b) High Speed ( ±2c, 3 seconds)
3.Contains a built in communication function (RS-232c) and a warning output function.
4.There is an interactive temperature calibration screen display function.

With the above features FTR070 is expected to prove successful in the following areas of linear infrastructure: Abnormal temperature detection in electric power cables, fire detection in underground spaces (like malls and utility tunnels etc.) and in road tunnels etc. and detection of freezing on road surfaces etc.
In order to find even more suitable uses for this improved application and finding more areas where it can be used we would welcome the ideas and thoughts of current users.
