Fujinaga Electric Co., Ltd. attains ISO 14001 certification
Fujinaga Electric Co., Ltd. (President: Masanori Atsumi; headquarters: 1-2 Kanda Ogawacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "Fujinaga Electric"), a consolidated subsidiary of Hitachi Cable, Ltd., has attained from the Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET) certification under ISO 14001: 2004, the international standard for environmental management systems.
The Hitachi Cable Group has continually promoted activities for fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR). As part of these efforts, it has formulated the Hitachi Cable Environmental Protection Guidelines and implemented environmental-protection efforts based on these. All of Hitachi Cable's plants in Japan have already attained ISO 14001 certification, and efforts are now underway to attain the same certification at Group companies in Japan and overseas as well.
Fujinaga Electric, a consolidated subsidiary of Hitachi Cable whose lines of business include the sale of wires and cables, has attained this ISO 14001: 2004 certification for all of its facilities, as part of its efforts to protect the earth's environment and to reduce the environmental impact of the full range of its operations.
In the future as well, the Hitachi Cable Group will continue to make active contributions to achieving a sustainable society in harmony with the environment.
