Consolidated subsidiary acquires ISO9001 certification

Hidec Systems Co., Ltd. (President: Minoru Hirasawa, Head office: 5-9-15, Hitaka-cho, Hitachi-city, Ibaraki Pref., referred to below as "Hidec Systems"), a consolidated subsidiary of Hitachi Cable, Ltd., has been accredited with ISO 9001:2000 certification, the international standard for quality management systems, by Lloyd?s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) Ltd. Hidec Systems is engaged in the design and development of Hitachi Cable's mission-critical systems, as well as the establishment and maintenance of network systems for governmental and public offices and private companies. Hidec Systems worked to secure ISO9001 certification in order to improve its quality assurance system and in recognition of the growing trend among customers, including governmental and other public agencies, to require all suppliers to acquire such certification. Hidec Systems will continue its efforts to refine its management quality under the ISO9001 system.
