Establishment of Automobile Component Manufacturer in Thailand

Hitachi Cable has established a new company in Thailand for automobile hose assembly. Political and economic conditions in Thailand have stabilized in recent years, resulting in the growing presence of Japanese automobile manufacturers and expanded production, even relative to remarkable growth among other ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). We hope to respond to lively demand by establishing a production base closer to the customers.

3. Capital: 35.7 million baht (approx. 100 million yen)
4. Investment Ratio: Hitachi Cable : 100%
5. President: Shojiro Yamazaki (dispatched from Hitachi Cable)
6. Date Founded: December 2003
7. Start of Operations: October 2004
8. Operations: Assembly and sales of automobile hoses
9. Sales: 350 million baht (approx. 1 billion yen, fiscal 2005 target)
