A Subsidiary in the Taiwan region Receives Both ISO9001 and ISO14001 Certifications
Giga Epitaxy Technology Corp. (hereunder written as GET), a subsidiary of Hitachi Cable, Ltd., for Manufacture of GaAs Epitaxial Wafers was certified the Quality Management System of ISO9001 and the Environmental Management System of ISO14001 respectively by EAQA Ltd. (UK)
GET manufactures MOVPE wafers under the technical direction of Hitachi Cable.
GET is aiming at being rated as "One of the Best Quality Companies" in the world about management, total operations and products by customers through supplying products and services truly needed by Society and Customers.
GET concludes that the preservation of the earth environment is one of the most important tasks common to mankind and shall forward the preservation and improvement of the environment continuously, by all the employees' participating with, in every GET's business activity.
So, in GET, a campaign was launched to be got the certification of both the systems in June, 2002 and assessments for ISO9001 and ISO14001 were executed in December, 2002 and January, 2003 respectively and finally GET was awarded the certification of both the systems almost together early in 2003 as mentioned above.
GET will continue to aggressively practice the operational management according to the quality management policy and environmental policy and achieve the requirement of "sustainable improvement" common to both the systems.
