Our Tsuchiura Works (Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture) has been awarded the ISO 9001 from the LRQA. The ISO 9000 Series as established by the International Standardization Organization (ISO), is an international standard for product quality control & product quality assurance. The ISO9001 is especially concerned with the standardization of a wide range of items, from design & development through to manufacture & extra service.
Being awarded the ISO certifications is necessary to comply with recent trends & in an aim to maintain our product quality assurance system more & more. Up to now: Hitaka Works (including Takasago Works, Minato Works, Hitachi Cable Assemblies Ltd.), Densen Works & Toyoura Works (all the above are located in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture) have already been awarded the ISO 9001 award.
Tsuchiura Works, who is now being awarded certification, was established in 1963 to exclusively produce copper products. They were the first works in Japan to be successful in the mass production of oxygen-free copper, with this as their main material they also produce: copper tubes, copper strips, copper products for electrical use, fabricated copper products, systemized products for air conditioners & superconductors.
With many overseas customers, for example: semi-conductor & air conditioner makers in the USA & South East Asian, it became a pressing need to establish & maintain an internationally recognized product quality assurance system.
The aim this time is to have the certificate awarded inclusively to all the products manufactured by Tsuchiura Works (including Hitachi Copper Products, Ltd.).
After this, nearly all the products that we handle will have been granted the ISO 9001 certificate.
